Low-voltage landscape lights offer many benefits for consumers, including that they are a safe and inexpensive alternative to the higher-voltage systems. Low-voltage lighting is very easy to install and maintain. In a home, the standard voltage is 120 volts, whereas a low-voltage light system is only 12 volts. Because of this, the risk for suffering an electrical shock is dramatically reduced, which is what makes this option very safe.
